Beyond Distribution to Launch Beyond Kids at MIPCOM
Beyond Distribution is set to launch a new kids division with around 950 hours of content at MIPCOM, further strengthening the company’s role in the production and distribution of global children’s content.
The launch of Beyond Kids follows the successful launch of Netflix Original animated series, Beat Bugs (52x15’/26x30’) featuring songs made famous by the Beatles, which the company brought to MIPJr last year.This was the first musically inspired animated series to feature on Netflix, and is to be followed by Motown Magic, a new animated series for kids inspired by legendary Motown classic songs. Both series are produced by Grace: A Storytelling Company and Beyond Screen Production.
Beyond Kids will launch three new live-action titles at MIPCOM. Produced by Beyond Productions, MythBusters Jr, (10x 30’), is a new incarnation of the infamous series featuring original MythBuster, Adam Savage as host. Adam and his team of junior MythBusters will tackle myths similar to those seen in the original series, with Adam separating fact from fiction as only he can.
Wow! That’s Amazing (26 x 30’), is a lively and informative show featuring 10-13 year olds conducting fascinating experiments, solving mind-bending puzzles and performing magic tricks that can be recreated at home and is co-produced by Beyond Productions and Super RTL in Germany.
Finally, Gym Stars (15 x 22’), goes behind the scenes to find out about the ups and downs of life for some of the UK’s most promising young gymnasts. The series follows Gym Stars who travel the world to compete against the best in their category and is produced by Drummer Television.
Beyond Kids will launch with around 950 hours of kids content, featuring internationally renowned kids programming from the last 25 years. These include the BAFTA Award-winning Ocean Girl (78 x 30’), CBBC’s Numberjacks (66 x 15’), TheDengineers (36 x 30’)and Junior Vets (40 x 30’).
